Sound Bites values sustainable solutions within the entirety of our operation. From the people we work with to the products we carry, we strive to keep our business local and with partners who value environmentally friendly practices. Here are a few ways we are doing our part to minimize our carbon footprint and employ a more eco-friendly service:
Minimizing Single-Use Packaging
One of our mail goals at Sound Bites is to eliminate as much packaging from our products and deliveries as possible.
To help us achieve this goal, we use as much compostable packaging in our delivery boxes as possible - including Cedar Grove Composting approved brown compostable bags.
Sound Sustainable Farms
Sound Bites is proud to work with Sound Sustainable Farms in Redmond, WA to bring locally grown, organic veggies to homes throughout our region. Sound Sustainable Farms (SSF) is powered by locally manufactured, organic compost from Cedar Grove and has restored soil health on land that was intended and protected for farming.
SSF seeks to provide a venue for this region to see firsthand how the valuable compost we generate and recycle every day can be used to grow healthy food for the community we live in.
Sound Sustainable Farms is committed to:
Farming organically.
Enhancing the land we farm by adding compost and nutrients and leaving it better than we found it.
Supplying restaurants, local residents and food banks with fresh, locally grown, organic produce.
Providing an educational venue and opportunities for the community we serve to learn more about using compost in agriculture, growing produce west of the mountains, organic farming practices and standards and more.

Whether it’s coming directly from the farm or is delivered through Sound Bites, SSF sells produce locally to limit the environmental footprint of transportation. They are committed to working collaboratively with the local farm community to support agriculture markets and infrastructure so that small farms thrive.

Operating out of south Seattle in the Georgetown neighborhood, Sound Bites serves King, Snohomish and Pierce Counties with contactless home delivery. We work with local businesses to cut down on transportation efforts as much as possible and utilize the most contemporary routing systems so that we are delivering your favorite items in the most efficient and eco-friendly manner.
